Night Auditor / Overnight Laundry Attendant
Aspen Suites Hotel FairbanksFairbanks, Alaska
Overnight Shift | Hourly, Non-Exempt
Aspen Suites Hotel Fairbanks is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Night Auditor / Overnight Laundry Attendant to join our team.
This is a unique combination role for someone who enjoys working independently and staying productive throughout the overnight shift. You will be responsible for providing excellent service to our overnight guests, completing the hotel's Night Audit and end-of-day procedures, and processing hotel laundry to help prepare the property for the next day.
If you're someone who likes staying busy, can switch comfortably between guest service and behind-the-scenes responsibilities, and takes pride in leaving things ready for the morning team, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Night Audit & Guest Service
  • Welcome and assist late-arriving and departing guests.
  • Complete guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservation requests.
  • Answer hotel phone calls and respond to overnight guest needs.
  • Handle guest questions, concerns, and requests professionally.
  • Complete nightly audit and end-of-day procedures.
  • Run required reports and reconcile guest accounts and folios.
  • Perform basic accounting and cash-handling procedures.
  • Organize Night Audit paperwork and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate shift notes and communicate important information to the morning team.
  • Keep the Front Desk, lobby, and common areas clean and guest ready.
  • Monitor the property and respond appropriately to overnight safety, security, or maintenance concerns.
  • Prepare the Front Desk for the morning shift.

Overnight Laundry
During the overnight shift, you will also help keep our housekeeping operation moving by processing hotel laundry.
Responsibilities include:
  • Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel linens.
  • Spot treating linens as needed.
  • Maintaining a steady supply of clean linens for the housekeeping team.
  • Filling and organizing linen orders.
  • Restocking linen and housekeeping supply areas as directed.
  • Safely operating commercial laundry equipment.
  • Following proper procedures for laundry chemicals and cleaning products.
  • Keeping the laundry area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Reporting equipment problems, supply needs, or maintenance concerns to management.

Guest service and required Night Audit responsibilities remain a priority, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable moving between the Front Desk and laundry responsibilities throughout the shift.
