Position Summary

Responsible for automated surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operations, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for the quality assurance and documentation.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printer, Pick and Place Machine, and Reflow Oven (training available)
  • Basic soldering and rework of SMT components. Must successfully complete solder training course.
  • Pick components and prepare kits for manufacturing.
  • Perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate job tracking records.
  • Interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a neat work area.
  • Shall be accountable for quality, quantity and inspection of work performed.
  • Must be familiar with company policies.
  • Train co-workers and assist when problem arise.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Applicants must possess any education, training or experience necessary to perform all essential duties and responsibilities associated with the position. Education, training and experience indicative of an individual’s ability to perform all essential job duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly process.
  • Have a general knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions.
  • Able to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Able to communicate effectively and relate to co-workers
  • Able to follow verbal instructions.
  • Able to work well under minimal supervision
  • Punctuality and good attendance record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC.

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior knowledge or experience working with a Native American Tribe.
