Position Description: About the RoleDACUT Cannabis is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Mobius Trimming Machine Operator to join our Post-Harvest team at our Flint cultivation facility.This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, cleaning, and maintaining our Mobius automated trimming equipment to efficiently process harvested cannabis while maintaining product quality and consistency.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating production machinery, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of balancing speed and efficiency with finished product quality. Previous experience operating Mobius trimming equipment or similar commercial cannabis trimming machinery is highly preferred.Essential ResponsibilitiesMobius Machine OperationOperate Mobius trimming equipment according to company SOPs and production requirements.Set up and prepare trimming equipment prior to each production run.Feed cannabis material through the trimming system at appropriate rates to maintain quality and efficiency.Monitor equipment throughout production and make adjustments as necessary.Ensure proper machine settings based on product condition, moisture level, and desired finished quality.Safely start, stop, and operate equipment according to manufacturer and company procedures.Product QualityContinuously inspect trimmed cannabis for quality, consistency, and appearance.Adjust machine operation when necessary to prevent over-trimming or product damage.Separate and properly handle finished flower, trim, and other material generated during production.Communicate product quality concerns to Post-Harvest leadership.Ensure finished material meets company quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.Production & EfficiencyMeet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.Track material entering and exiting the trimming process.Accurately record production weights, output, and processing information.Minimize product loss and waste throughout machine operation.Identify opportunities to improve throughput and trimming efficiency.Equipment Cleaning & MaintenanceBreak down and thoroughly clean Mobius equipment between production runs as required.Sanitize machine components according to company SOPs.Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.Identify mechanical issues and communicate repair needs to leadership or Maintenance.Maintain a clean and organized machine area to minimize downtime and contamination.Inventory & ComplianceMaintain accurate weights and documentation throughout the trimming process.Ensure cannabis material remains properly identified and separated throughout production.Follow all company SOPs and Michigan cannabis compliance requirements.Assist with inventory reconciliation and production documentation as needed.Immediately report product, weight, or inventory discrepancies.Team CollaborationWork closely with Post-Harvest Leads, Trimmers, Inventory, Cultivation, and Compliance teams.Coordinate production runs based on harvest and post-harvest schedules.Assist with manual trimming and other post-harvest activities when needed.Communicate equipment, quality, or production concerns promptly to leadership.QualificationsRequiredPrevious experience operating production, manufacturing, agricultural, or processing equipment.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machinery quickly.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.Ability to follow detailed SOPs and equipment procedures.Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment.Strong reliability, attendance, and communication skills.Must be at least 21 years of age.PreferredPrevious experience operating Mobius cannabis trimming equipment highly preferred.Experience operating other commercial cannabis trimming machines.Previous cannabis trimming or post-harvest experience.Experience troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on production machinery.Experience in cannabis cultivation, food production, manufacturing, or another regulated production environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.Ability to bend, kneel, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to safely operate and clean mechanical production equipment.Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.Ability to work around cannabis plant material, dust, and strong odors.Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday.What We OfferCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid Time OffEmployee discount programStable full-time scheduleCareer advancement opportunities within Post-Harvest and Cultivation operationsHands-on training and equipment experienceTeam-oriented work environmentApply TodayIf you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoy operating equipment in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to hear from you.
