Position Overview
Ulrich Lifestyle Structures is hiring a Design Consultant to work directly with customers designing custom sheds, garages, cabins, and outdoor buildings. This is a consultative, customer-facing role focused on helping customers bring their ideas to life.
As a Design Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them from initial conversation through design and purchase. You will focus on understanding customer needs, creating tailored solutions, and managing leads generated through walk-ins, online inquiries, and social media platforms like Facebook Marketplace.
You will follow a structured sales process to uncover customer goals, timeline, and budget while recommending solutions that align with their vision.
Key Responsibilities:
*Customer Consultation: Connect with customers, build rapport, and guide them through the design process using discovery questions to understand their needs, timeline, and budget.*Lead Management: Respond to and manage inbound leads from walk-ins, website inquiries, and CRM follow-ups in a timely manner.
*Lead Generation: Actively generate new opportunities by posting on Facebook Marketplace and engaging with local community groups.
*Sales Process Execution: Follow a structured sales process to uncover customer motivations, overcome objections, and guide customers toward a confident purchase decision.
*Customer Engagement: Capture all customer interactions in the CRM, ensuring accurate and complete information for follow-up and tracking.
*Closing & Performance: Work toward closing a high percentage of customer interactions by building value, creating urgency, and delivering a strong customer experience.
*Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized showroom and support merchandising efforts to enhance the customer experience and drive traffic.
*Post-Sale Follow-Up: Follow up with customers after purchase to confirm satisfaction, request reviews, and generate referrals.
Compensation & Benefits
*Base Salary: $31,200 - $52,000 annually (based on experience)
*On-Target Earnings: $49,000 - $100,000+
*Performance Bonuses: Monthly and tier-based bonus opportunities

Work Location & Schedule
Location: Fort Worth Retail Store (in-person role)
Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
One weekday off (Sunday closed)
Qualifications:
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and guide customer conversations
*Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
*Ability to overcome objections and confidently close sales
*Comfortable following structured processes for lead management and sales
*Experience creating content for social media, especially Facebook Marketplace
