Job description

We're looking for a Senior Multidisciplinary Designer with significant experience in the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrance, or personal care industries to help shape the future of an iconic global beauty brand.
This is a highly visible hybrid role combining structural packaging design, packaging graphics, and e-commerce creative. You'll lead the design of primary packaging while developing compelling digital assets that bring products to life across retail, e-commerce, and social channels.
The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio demonstrating both physical product design and digital brand execution within the beauty industry. You understand how consumers shop for beauty products both on shelf and online, and how thoughtful design creates desire, drives purchase, and builds lasting brand equity.
You'll be equally comfortable sketching bottles, caps, closures, compacts, brushes, applicators, and other packaging components from scratch as you are creating product detail pages, digital merchandising assets, campaign creative, and social content.
This role is ideal for a designer who has an exceptional eye for color, trend, finish, typography, and materiality. You understand how packaging, digital storytelling, and brand expression work together to create a seamless consumer experience from first impression through purchase.
You'll collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, Creative, and manufacturing partners from concept through production, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a premium and cohesive brand experience.
Requirements
Primary Packaging & Structural Design
  • Concept, sketch, and develop primary packaging and component forms from scratch, including bottles, caps, closures, compacts, applicators, and innovative structural concepts.
  • Translate design intent into production-ready artwork, specifications, dielines, and technical documentation.
  • Explore materials, finishes, coatings, decoration techniques, and manufacturing methods.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure technical feasibility, cost awareness, and executional excellence.
  • Review prototypes, iterate on refinements, and guide packaging through production.
  • Stay current on emerging packaging trends, materials, sustainability, and beauty innovation.
Packaging Graphics & Brand Design
  • Design compelling packaging graphics that align with brand strategy and consumer expectations.
  • Develop original visual concepts rooted in brand DNA across packaging, print, and marketing collateral.
  • Ensure consistency across all physical and digital brand touchpoints.
  • Support campaign creative, photoshoots, and brand storytelling where needed.
E-Commerce & Digital Design
  • Design digital assets supporting product launches and ongoing marketing initiatives.
  • Create e-commerce creative including Product Detail Pages (PDPs), retail.com assets, digital merchandising, promotional graphics, email assets, banners, landing pages, and online campaign materials.
  • Design social media assets and digital content that align with seasonal campaigns and product launches.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to optimize digital assets for performance while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Translate packaging design into compelling digital consumer experiences across multiple channels.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, and external vendors throughout the design process.
  • Present concepts, mood boards, prototypes, and creative rationale with clarity and confidence.
  • Foster a culture of elevated taste, collaboration, curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Balance multiple projects while maintaining exceptional creative standards and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional design experience within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrance, personal care, or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Demonstrated experience designing primary packaging from concept through production, including structural packaging and component design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing structural packaging, packaging graphics, branding, and e-commerce/digital creative.
  • Experience creating Product Detail Pages (PDPs), retail.com assets, digital merchandising, email marketing, social media, and online campaign creative.
  • Deep understanding of beauty trends, color, typography, materials, finishes, and consumer behavior.
  • Knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes, print production, decoration techniques, and supplier collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with Figma and 3D rendering software is a plus.
  • Excellent sketching, concept development, presentation, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Passion for beauty, innovation, and creating exceptional consumer experiences across both physical and digital touchpoints.
