Job description


We are looking for a fair motivated an Operations Supervisor to join our Fallon, NV team. You will be responsible for plant operations including, but not limited to, unit operations, start-ups, shutdowns, emergency coordination and personnel management.
Schedule: 7/12 on and off rotating days and nights.
Wage: $70-100k DOE

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Performs multiple site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, unit operations start up's, shutdowns, and emergency coordination.
  • Supervises multiple employees, participates in hiring/firing, conducts performance management, develops junior employees
  • Ensure team is trained for proper operation of the units
  • Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures, holds employees accountable.
  • Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have accountability for compliance standards.
  • Works under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager or equivalent
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and required needs of the Clean Harbors business

Qualifications
What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company?
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years Supervisory, Foreman or Management experience managing teams in an Industrial/Plant environment preferred
  • Refinery experience or Oil and Gas experience is a plus!
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment, distillation, hydrotreating processes
  • Forklift experience
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, written and verbally
  • Leader with integrity who leads by example
  • Computer proficiency
  • MS Office Suite - Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work a rotating shift (nights and days)
  • Must have the ability to be trained as an emergency coordinator
