Job description

We are seeking an Operations Strategy Manager, to lead a team of analysts supporting key business functions within a dynamic and evolving auto finance environment. As the organization continues through a period of growth and change, this role will be critical in ensuring the team delivers accurate, timely, and actionable insights while adapting to varying priorities and business needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a manager who can balance team development with direct engagement in analytical work. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in SQL, a structured and organized approach to managing work, and the ability to lead with clarity and composure in a fast-paced, changing environment.

In the role

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 Business/Operations Analysts with varying levels of SQL and analytical expertise
  • Build and strengthen the team's technical capabilities, with a focus on improving SQL proficiency and data exploration skills
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize requests, and deliver actionable insights
  • Establish and maintain structured processes for intake, prioritization, and execution of analytics requests
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of data deliverables across the team while reducing redundancy between team members
  • Facilitate coordination across departments
  • Monitor team performance, workload distribution, and development plans to ensure both delivery and growth
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise insights for business stakeholders
  • Partner with technology to automate reports as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in managerial role
  • 5+ years experience analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience querying and analyzing data from relational databases
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring analysts or similar roles

Preferred

  • Experience in auto finance, financial services, or a related industry
  • Experience supporting business operations or cross-functional teams during periods of change or integration
  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g. SSMS, Power Bi)
