We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join our talented Ingredients team in Rochester, NY!


The Role:

As our Senior Operations Manager, you'll oversee operations and you'll lay the foundation for efficiency. We're looking for a strategic leader to bridge the gap between our suppliers and customers, ensuring that "on-time delivery" is met. You'll be successful in the role if you thrive on identifying bottlenecks proactively and enjoy building high-performing teams that can navigate the nuances of the ingredients industry.


The Day to Day:

Strategic Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify potential delays before they happen, develop creative solutions, aligning with our ingredient divisions processes and teams, to keep our contracts fulfilled.
  • Model operational excellence, delivering best in class service for our customers and internal teams.

Leading & Empowering

  • Lead, Coach and Mentor a high performing team, fostering a culture of accountability where managers and employees feel empowered to own their work and problem solve.
  • Translate objectives and challenges into clear, actionable KPIs driving results and alignment.
  • Act as the bridge between Operations, Sales, Logistics and Finance to ensure everyone is moving in the same direction.

Operational Excellence

  • Improve, monitor, and adjust workflows to reduce redundancies and manual gaps, with advanced methodologies and streamlined solutions.
  • Oversee the entire order journey from document accuracy to compliance, to ensure we hit deadlines.
  • Navigate the complexities of international supply planning and manage critical relationships with both suppliers and customers.


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in operations management or related field, MS a plus!
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar senior management role within the food & beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of navigating the complexities of global logistics and supply chain.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Experience scaling and developing teams to meet evolving business needs.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities We're Looking For:

  • Emotional Intelligence: Ability to navigate complex departmental dynamics and model resilience during periods of organizational change.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Ability to negotiate effectively with cross-functional peers to align resources and resolve inter-departmental friction.
  • Driving Results: Ability to optimize departmental workflows and resource allocation to achieve consistent, high-impact business outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Ability to break down departmental silos by building strategic partnerships across different departments/divisions.
  • Technologically adept in ERP systems, Microsoft suite, etc.
  • Experience with domestic transportation terms and procedures, including freight terms, documentation, claims filing, load planning and shipment tender.
  • Experience with international terms and procedures, including INCOTERMS, ISF filing, Commercial Invoices, customs clearance, and Harmonized Tariff classification.
  • Quality and Customer Service Orientation to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to take initiative, follow up/follow through autonomously.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time as needed.

Compensation:In the spirit of pay transparency, the starting pay for this role is between $85k - $105k per year.


The range listed above represents a good-faith anticipated range for this position. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
