Job description

As the President of Caritas Management Corporation (CMC), you will provide overarching strategic and operational leadership for our comprehensive affordable housing portfolio. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will serve as leadership of the corporation’s organization and fiscal spending. This role requires ensuring efficient business operations, resource management, and long-term fiscal stability, all while delivering compassionate and equitable services to our residents through a highly motivated professional staff.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Provide executive leadership for Caritas Management Corporation and its affordable housing portfolio.
  • Direct Property Management, Compliance, Accounting, Human Resources, and Administration.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support organizational growth and long-term sustainability.
  • Oversee corporate budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable affordable housing regulations and agency requirements.
  • Serve as the executive liaison with public agencies, community partners, property owners, and stakeholders.
  • Guide portfolio transitions, operational improvements, and organizational performance.
  • Support and advise the Board of Directors on strategic planning and corporate initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven organizational culture committed to serving diverse communities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in affordable housing, property management, or real estate operations
  • Executive leadership experience overseeing multiple departments
  • Strong financial management and budgeting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree
  • California Real Estate License
  • Experience working with MOHCD, SFHA, and HSH
  • Experience leading organizational growth and operational change
