Salary: $140,000–$164,000

Key Responsibilities for the Controller:
• Oversee accounting and finance operations across 150+ properties including HUD, Rural Development, and public housing programs
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple entities
• Partner with CFO on annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Drive process improvements across accounting and reporting functions, improving efficiency and modernizing legacy processes
• Support cash management, reconciliations, and internal control monitoring
• Lead and coordinate accounting staff, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accountability across the function

Qualifications for the Controller:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least some leadership responsibility preferred
• Strong experience in property management accounting, ideally including Rural Development, HUD, or public housing
• Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting environments
