Job description

B&D Auctions is seeking a dependable, hardworking Operations Generalist to support all areas of our fast-paced online auction business.
This is a hands-on, all-in role that includes office operations, customer service, photography, warehouse work, shipping, and estate cleanouts. If you prefer predictable desk work, this is not the position. If you enjoy variety, staying active, and being part of a team that gets things done, keep reading.
What You’ll Do

  •  Assist with phones, emails, and in-person customer service in a professional and courteous manner 
  •  Handle payments and cash with accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail 
  •  Photograph auction items with care and an eye for presentation 
  •  Support cataloging, organization, and inventory flow 
  •  Assist with packing and shipping auction items safely and efficiently
  •  Prepare shipments, handle materials, and help ensure orders go out accurately 
  •  Assist with pickups, estate cleanouts, and house calls 
  •  Prioritize tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

  •  Participation in estate cleanouts and house calls, including stairs, basements, and tight spaces 
  •  Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day 
  •  Warehouse is a converted horse barn and is not climate controlled. Conditions can be hot, cold, and dusty 
  •  Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is a shared responsibility 
Preferred but Not Required

  •  Experience selling on eBay or similar platforms 
  •  Interest in antiques, collectibles, or history
