Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Logistics Analyst Principal with our Army client. GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career. Your work supporting logistics at GDIT will power global missions and your long-term career growth.

You will play a crucial role in utilizing your medical logistics experience to support the fielding, sustainment, and modernization of medical products, devices, equipment, and systems used on the battlefield.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Utilize product management skills to provide logistics operations support and work with Project Managers and other Logistics Management Specialists to provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) for multiple medical and non-medical products.
  • Apply life cycle logistics management concepts and methodology to assigned projects and utilize a thorough working knowledge of IPS, DoW requirements determination, program planning, wholesale supply system, cataloging, and procurement.
  • Coordinate with a large network of matrixed organizations within the DoW, US Army, other external activities, manufacturer, receiving unit, and other interested parties in fielding of systems, including the procurement mechanism and coordination with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC)
  • Be proactive to ensure all tasks are completed timely. This will include managing stakeholder responses, ensuring proper format, and adhering to schedules and due dates.
  • Support the planning of the Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Armys Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) processes.
  • Participate in various meetings and discussions involving new or replacement medical equipment to ensure proper parallel planning and sharing of information for timely development, review, and publication of medical equipment configuration and unit assemblage and SKO documents.
  • Support development, review, coordination, and maintenance of logistics documentation, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, fielding plans, supportability strategies, BOIP/TOE-related inputs, provisioning documentation, and other IPS products as required.
  • Track logistics actions, risks, dependencies, and suspense items across multiple product lines to ensure leadership has accurate status of fielding, sustainment, procurement, and supportability activities.
  • Support coordination of equipment fielding, handoff, acceptance, property accountability, training support, and post-fielding sustainment activities with receiving units and stakeholder organizations.
  • Utilize knowledge of standard Army/DoW IPS elements and intent of the process and tailor the actions to best fit the managed product.
  • Coordinate with the Army, other DoW activities, manufacturers, and other stakeholders in preparing for the fielding of products and their sustainment.
  • Provide management and coordination for the maintenance and sustainment support to the DoW users, manufacturer, and the Services logistic points of contact.
  • Participate in working groups and other meetings. This includes coordinating meetings, developing agendas, and preparing minutes of action item listings.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in a related field (with a focus on logistics) or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS); Military experience in logistics, fielding, and sustainment of products.
  • Attributes for Success: Need someone who has good written and verbal communication skills along with good teamwork attributes.
  • Preferred Technical Skills and Experience: Experience with Global Combat Support System-Army (GCCS-Army), Cloud Equipping (cQuiP) program, WEBBLIS, Decision Support Tool (DST), DLA Medical Master Online (DMMOnline) and/or ability to learn quickly.
  • Security Clearance Level: Not applicable; must be clearable for a T1 Public Trust
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Exceptional communication, writing, and product management skills for developing documentation and collaborating with diverse teams. Adept at cross-functional teamwork and engaging multiple stakeholders. Ability to execute using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook.
  • Location: Hybrid (on-site 3 days a week at Ft. Detrick, MD)
  • Travel: Less than 10%

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $88,696 - $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
