Overview

Syntelligent is seeking a full-time Criminal Intelligence Analyst for full-time salaried positions supporting the DHS FPS Intelligence Analysis Division. ***This is a pipeline/future needs position***

Location: Springfield, VA.

Schedule: Day/ M-F

Anticipated Salary Range: $70,000-$72,000

Responsibilities
Duties will include:
  • Provide intelligence services related to the analysis, processing, development, and distribution of strategic and criminal intelligence supporting Federal Protective Services operations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Associate degree

4 yrs of Experience as an intelligence analyst

Bachelor’s Degree

2 yrs of experience as an intelligence analyst

Master’s degree

0 yrs of experience required

  • Work experience demonstrating ability to perform strategic, operational, and tactical analysis as required based on raw intelligence collected from a variety of sources, i.e. INTs
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to and apply IC analytic tradecraft standards (e.g. ICDS 203, 206, 208…)
  • Working knowledge of (preferably hands-on experience with) databases and software programs used in the intelligence environment, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, M3, TAC, HOTR, Google Earth, Intelink, National Exploitation System, Gemini, MIDB, GCCS-J, various message handling systems.
  • Excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills to communicate factual information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, often under pressure and tight deadlines that meets or exceeds established analytical standards.
  • (REQUIRED) Current Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (or higher DIE Certification) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire (https://dodcertpmo.defense.gov/IFPC/).
Clearance: TS/SCI

Mental Requirements: Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred in International Studies, Intelligence, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or other related concentration.
  • Prior experience performing Open-Source Collection
  • Criminal Intelligence analysis experience
  • Experience working with DHS data sources
  • Knowledge of the DHS FPS intelligence authorities, DHS component missions, and the role of FPS in supporting the DHS Intelligence Enterprise; overall FPS intelligence research, analysis, and production process
  • Specific knowledge of title 18 authorities
  • Knowledge of multiple open-source areas including surface, deep, and dark web.
  • Knowledge of multiple collection techniques or approaches
  • Knowledge of developing a collection plan and dissemination practices.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, common Open-Source tools, and DHS data systems.
  • Experience working researching and providing evaluations for Intelligence Information Reports (IIR)
