RESUMEN DE LA POSICION:

El Asistente Médico en Entrenamiento (Medical on Training) realiza tareas médicas para atender al paciente, responder consultas y proporcionar información.

DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES:

Las responsabilidades incluyen, pero no se limitan a:

  • Revisar las citas médicas con antelación a la hora establecida, identificando citas canceladas u otros cambios que se realicen en la operación.
  • Asistir al médico en la preparación del paciente y el equipo necesario para la consulta del paciente, de acuerdo con el protocolo y los procedimientos establecidos.
  • Identificar pacientes de primera visita o de seguimiento. Entrevistar y registrar correctamente la información del historial médico de los pacientes, síntomas, medición de signos vitales, peso y altura.
  • Asegurar la discreción y manejar asuntos confidenciales y de acuerdo con las políticas y procedimientos.
  • Realizar una variedad de actividades relacionadas con la medicina, incluido el desempeño de deberes clínicos específicos asignados.
  • Asistir en las tareas de back-office, incluyendo el acompañamiento de pacientes a la sala de examen (rooming patients), la toma del historial del paciente y la asistencia en procedimientos menores.
  • Desinfectar adecuadamente el equipo médico, las superficies, esterilizar los instrumentos y reempacar los instrumentos reutilizables.
  • Mantener organizados los registros médicos, incluidos el historial médico, el motivo de la consulta principal y las notas de progreso.

Requirements:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medical on Training performs medical tasks to service the patient, answer inquiries and provide information.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review medical appointments in advance of the established time, identifying canceled appointments or other changes that are made in the operation.
  • Assist the physician in preparing the patient and the equipment necessary for the patient's consultation according to the protocol and established procedures.
  • Identify first visit or follow-up patients. Properly interview and record patients’ medical history information, symptoms, measure of vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Ensure discretion and handle confidential matters and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform a variety of medical related activities including performance of specific assigned clinical duties.
  • Assist in back-office duties including rooming patients, taking patient history and assisting with minor procedures.
  • Properly sanitize medical equipment, surfaces, sterilize instruments and repackaging of reusable instruments.
  • Keep medical records, including medical history, chief complaint, and progress notes organized.
  • Willingness to travel to all the facilities based on operational requirements.
  • Adhere and follow company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least one (1) year experience in an office or clerical setting.
  • Medical industry related experience preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service, documentation and computer skills.
  • Strong team and individual skills.
  • Positive approach and enthusiasm.
  • Must exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and time management.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by business operations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
