Job description

Flecha Cantina is looking for a passionate, hands-on Field Training Manager to build and drive a best-in-class training culture across all of our locations. This role is for someone who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and takes personal pride in the team's growth. You'll be the connective tissue between our brand standards and day-to-day operations - ensuring every team member, from new hire to tenured bartender, is equipped, confident, and delivering the Flecha experience at its best.
Onboarding & New Hire Training
• Design, deliver, and continuously improve onboarding programs for FOH and BOH team members across all Flecha Cantina locations
• Facilitate immersive, hands-on training experiences rooted in Flecha's culture, menu, and hospitality standards
• Partner with location managers to schedule, track, and certify new hires through all training milestones
• Serve as the primary trainer for key positions, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and hourly leads
• Ensure all new team members complete alcohol awareness, food safety, and compliance training requirements
Ongoing Development & Standards
• Conduct regular floor visits across all locations to observe service quality, identify coaching opportunities, and reinforce standard
• Lead ongoing skills training - menu knowledge, beverage education, upselling techniques, and guest experience
• Develop and maintain training materials including guides, checklists, videos, and reference tools
• Partner with managers to run monthly or quarterly team refreshers, menu rollaouts, and skills workshops
• Champion consistency in brand voice, service flow, and hospitality standards across every Flecha location
Leadership & Culture• Act as a culture carrier for the Flecha brand - modeling the energy, professionalism, and hospitality we expect from every team member
• Build strong relationships with location managers and GMs to understand performance gaps and training priorities
• Identify high-potential team members and support their development into leadership roles
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment where learning is encouraged and celebrated
• Serve as a resource and mentor for hourly trainers and certified training staff at each location
Reporting & Multi-Location Coordination
• Track training completion, certification status, and performance metrics across all locations
• Report regularly to ownership and operations leadership on training effectiveness and team readiness
• Support new location openings with structured pre-opening training programs and staff ramp-up
• Coordinate cross-location training schedules, ensure trainer coverage, and manage training calendars
• Identify trends in team performance data and proactively recommend training interventions
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in restaurant or hospitality training, operations, or management
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training programs in a fast-paced environment
• Deep knowledge of FOH operations, service standards, and bar/beverage programs
• Natural coach and communicator - comfortable leading groups, giving feedback, and motivating teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple locations and priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with training or LMS platforms a plus
• Food Handler's Card and TIPS/ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as the role and locations require
• Self-starter with high ownership mentality and the ability to work independently
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
