Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grocery Coordinator will place orders by the given due date, as well as monitor the movement of product in and out of Nature's Wonders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Completes and sends the KeHE & UNFI orders due to be sent by Wednesdays at 9:30 am and Friday by end of day.
  • Completes and sends the following additional orders as needed: Backroads Granola, Smart Cakes, Cafe Altura, Sunfood, Spry/Xlear, Handy Pantry, Ozark Natural Bread, KC Buffalo, Alberts, Storm Honey Farm and any others that are needed. (list not comprehensive).
  • Checks grocery customer requests weekly and add items as needed. Follow up with customers accordingly.
  • Places and merchandises new grocery items as they arrive.
  • Runs Item Movement reports, closeout slow sellers and keep sections fresh and functional.
  • Resets grocery endcaps each month/season.
  • Utilizes SPINS data where applicable to determine new items to bring in.
  • Meets with grocery reps when they visit.
  • Attends trade shows as needed.
  • Checks email daily and follows up as needed.
  • Assists with INFRA sales monthly to bring in advertised items we don't currently carry and plan promotions.
  • Works with Director of Purchasing to maintain spending budget.
  • Works with vendors and reps to maximize spending budget.
  • Assists customers while on the floor.
  • Sets up monthly INFRA sales and have tags printed and assists with getting tags placed.
  • Assists with cashier and barista duties as needed.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIRES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to maintain efficiency and accuracy at all times.
  • Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at one time.
  • The ability to move freely around your workspace.
  • Sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and climbing may be necessary physical requirements for this position.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
