Join Our Crew: Seasonal Marina Dockhand (Summer Adventure Awaits!)

Love the Water? Enjoy Helping People? Let’s Make This Summer Unforgettable!

BlueGate Boat & RV Storage is on the lookout for energetic, customer-focused team players to join our marina crew this boating season! If you’re looking for a job that lets you soak up the sun, meet awesome people, and be part of an action-packed waterfront environment—this is it!

What You’ll Be Doing (Besides Having Fun!)

Customer Service Superhero: Be the friendly face greeting boaters, assisting with docking, and making their experience smooth and enjoyable. You’ll answer questions, provide safety info, and help transport guests and their gear to and from the docks.

Dock Operations Pro: Assist with boat launches, secure vessels properly, and ensure everything runs smoothly on the water. Your expert knot-tying skills will come in handy!

Fuel Dock Champion: Help refuel boats safely and efficiently—because no one wants to get stranded mid-lake!

Marina Upkeep Expert: Keep the docks, walkways, and marina facilities clean and tidy. A little maintenance here and there (think minor repairs, painting, and cleanup) keeps the place looking sharp.

Safety & Security Guardian: Keep an eye out for hazards, follow marina safety rules, and be ready to respond in emergencies. We take safety seriously, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun!

Cash & Inventory Assistant: Help process payments for marina services and assist in managing supplies—because every great operation needs smooth logistics.

What We’re Looking For

  • Team Player: You’ll work alongside an awesome crew, so teamwork is key.
  • Great Communicator: Talk to customers, solve problems, and make sure everyone has the best experience possible.
  • Problem-Solver: Think on your feet and handle challenges with a cool head.
  • Adaptable & Ready to Go: Weather can change, boats can be unpredictable—you’ll need to roll with it!
  • Detail-Oriented: Keeping things organized and clean is part of the game.

What You Need to Bring

  • Valid Driver’s License: You may need to drive company vehicles.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (Preferred): Safety first!
  • Boating Safety Knowledge (Preferred): If you don’t have it, we’ll teach you!
  • Swimming Ability: Working around water means you should be comfortable in it.
  • Ability to Lift 50+ lbs: You’ll be moving equipment, gear, and other marina essentials.

The Fun Perks!

  • Work Outside by the Water: No cubicles, no boring office views—just fresh air, sunshine, and lake vibes.
  • Meet Cool People: From weekend boaters to seasoned sailors, you’ll interact with a fun mix of marina visitors.
  • Gain Hands-On Experience: Whether you’re into boating, hospitality, or outdoor work, this role builds great skills.

The Details

  • Position Type: Seasonal, 30-40 hours per week (weekends & holidays may be required)
  • Location: Outdoors at the marina (get ready for sun, wind, and water!)
  • Pay: Competitive hourly wage + an unforgettable summer experience
