About Solugen:
Mission
Solugen's mission is to decarbonize chemical manufacturing while onshoring critical dual-use supply chains. These supply chains leverage Solugen's proprietary chemi-enzymatic manufacturing platform to rapidly enable CONUS production at low cost.
The mission of this role is to transition products developed on the lab bench to scale in the areas of offshore and deepwater business and to manage the growth and operation of the offshore laboratories by working predominantly in the office, field, and at the lab bench, working with both bench chemists in product development and operational groups to bridge the gap. This individual will bring a track record of field and laboratory experience and apply that expertise to ensure Solugen projects and processes run efficiently and with precision.
This role sits within the Deepwater Product Development Team, Solugen's Research and Development arm for products and services for the offshore oil and gas industry and provides support to ensure Solugen's innovation and technology efforts are disciplined, efficient, and successful. This role will report to the VP of Technology and Innovation and be based in Houston, TX.
Key Outcome
Responsible for leading the commercialization of flow assurance, integrity management, and fluid separation products and works with technology, operations, sales and marketing, in a bridging role to ensure the appropriate flow and development of products from lab to scale. This will be achieved through ownership of the product commercialization and scaling process liaising with all parts of Solugen's "back office" support teams.
Key Responsibilities Include
1.Develop strategies to maintain and manage the product portfolio and define and develop technologies to fill gaps
2.Works with other teams in Solugen to provide consultative direction for new product development
3.Provides support to the VP of Technology and Innovation to improve the IP position of the company through the identification of patentable technology
4.Supports the development of the company's training and competency associated with offshore and deepwater technologies
5.Support key customer initiatives
6.Works directly with Product Management to produce sales materials for flow assurance products and services
7.Works directly with Operations to ensure products are commercialized to scale appropriately
8.Ensures appropriate utilization, development, and maintenance of laboratory space and laboratory equipment including responsibility for continual expansion of capabilities
