The Islamic Center of Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community in Detroit, Michigan.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the office and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist visitors, answer phone calls and respond to emails

- Manage the office calendar and schedule appointments

- Maintain and organize office files, documents, and records

- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports

- Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages

- Order and maintain office supplies

- Assist with event planning and coordination

- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and filing

- Maintain a clean and organized office space

- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

- College or equivalent degree

- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
