Office Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Office Manager to oversee our business and administrative operations. On a daily basis, you will be responsible for running the feedmill office. Tasks include but are not limited to customer service, scheduling, organizing files, handling receivables and payables, answer calls and respond to client questions, schedule appointments, and process payroll. You will also ensure office supplies are stocked, ordering more when necessary. Your primary goal is to keep our office running smoothly. Our ideal candidate has at least three years of administrative assistant or customer service roles and knows how to manage the different administrative needs of a busy office.

The Office Manager is responsible for running our feedmill office. Hunter Nutrition is a specialized feed manufacturer. Our 58,000 sq ft plant manufacturer’s texturized, pelleted, and mineral/premix feeds. We are located just north of West Lafayette in Brookston, Indiana. Qualified individuals will have a positive attitude, be well organized, have a good employment history, and a good work ethic. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Previous office experience is required. You must have good office and computer skills. Agriculture/Agri-Business Experience is a plus, but not required. We use Quick Books Accounting software, MS Xcel, MS Word, MS Publisher, and MS Access. Job description is a office manager who is responsible for customer service, answering the phone, order processing, typing, filing, ordering supplies, correspondence, billing, posting receivables, light accounting, generating customer statements, operating office machines, data entry, filling literature requests, greeting walk in customers, keeping notebooks & files updated, UPS Shipping, preparing shipping documents, inventory tracking, feed formula and tag preparation, ACH/ Credit Card Transactions, and office management. Some basic human resource may also be required. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is concerned about our business and the quality of service we provide. We offer good day shift weekday working hours. The hours we work are from about 7:45 am until about 5:15 pm when the work is completed. Annual Wage Range Is $ 66,000.00 to $ 78,000.00 annually, plus Insurance and benefits. Two years of prior office experience is required.
