As a Jira Administrator and Data Visualization Specialist, you will be instrumental in optimizing project management workflows within Jira and transforming complex data into actionable insights through robust dashboards. Your expertise will ensure efficient process execution, accurate data tracking, and clear visualization of program status and key metrics.

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering

  • 3+ years proficiency in Microsoft Office and Ford Systems Tools Or Similar for issue identification, tracking, and presentations.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.      
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

  • Jira Administration & Process Optimization:
  • Workflow & Form Modernization: Modernize Jira forms and processes for critical ticket types (e.g., CODEMASK), enhancing data capture, filtering, and reporting capabilities.
  • Process Definition & Implementation: Maintain and modernize current design processes through the development and implementation of new Jira processes and templates for various activities, including DCV testing and work breakdown.
  • Configuration & Standards: Update and enforce "Definition of Done" (DoD) criteria within Jira projects to ensure the quality and completeness of deliverables, providing feedback to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on complex items.
  • User Support & Management: Manage personal Jira backlogs, sprint cadences, and provide troubleshooting support for user access issues.
    Dashboard Creation & Data Visualization:
  • Comprehensive Dashboard Development: Design, build, and curate multiple dashboards for Technical Design Review (TDR) and Business Process Review (BPR), including specialized dashboards for specific programs (e.g., Otosan), and maintain/update them as needed.
  • Data Integration & Reporting: Utilize Power Query to combine disparate data sources, enabling comprehensive tracking and analysis for reporting.

Interactive Data Visualization: 

  • Create interactive data visualizations in PowerBI to track program timing, milestones, and key performance indicators.
  • Confluence Integration: Embed Jira dashboard widgets into Confluence pages to provide integrated program status views.

Ongoing Initiatives & Future Focus:

  • Jira Structure & Governance: Actively participate in discussions and the implementation of significant Jira structure changes, including project consolidation, custom field integration, and workflow best practices.
  • Advanced Reporting & Analytics: Investigate further enhancements to BPR and Chief Review dashboards, exploring direct data integration from source systems (e.g., EIS) for roll-up reporting.

Process Refinement: 

  • Develop solutions for complex process challenges within Jira, such as managing schematic development churn and updating timing review.
