Engineering Clerk
Department: Manufacturing Engineering
Employee Group: Part-Time, 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 4 hours/day)

Job Overview
The Engineering Clerk supports the Engineering Department by managing technical documentation, performing accurate data entry, and facilitating the flow of information between departments. This role plays a key part in maintaining up-to-date engineering records, including routings, manufacturing drawings, and continuous improvement of data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with various software tools to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
A Day in the Life
Create, update, and maintain engineering documentation such as:
Manufacturing routings
Technical drawings
Bill of materials (BOMs)
Process instructions
Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across systems and documents.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Purchasing, etc.) to gather and distribute data.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining and analyzing engineering data.
Perform data entry and document control tasks using Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal usage.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for engineering records.
Monitor document revision control and ensure compliance with company standards.
What will help you thrive in this role
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
