Shipping Clerk
Location: Warren, Michigan
Shift: 1st Shift
MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking reliable, energetic, and positive individuals to join our team as a Shipping Clerk at our Warren, Michigan facility.
MMI Engineered Solutions is an established yet growing enterprise providing world-class engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins across multiple industries. We engineer innovative solutions to meet today's complex design and manufacturing challenges.
Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery to our customers at Warren Facility. Shift 1:00 PM- 9:00PM.
Essential Functions
  • Ensure FIFO in all outgoing finish goods.
  • Manages the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies (Scheduling).
  • Maintain records on incoming/outgoing shipments with the correct paperwork.
  • Ensure to send an ASN (advance shipping Notification) to all applicable customers once shipment leaves.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the MMI's team, management, customers, and other individuals involved.
  • Support Shippers on any work-related needs/issues.
  • Utilize knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Tacks, traces, and updates of the status of shipments.
  • Maintain and oversee shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other shipping records to understand shipping priorities and assignments.
  • Load & Unload Trucks with a forklift as needed (making sure the proper load goes on the proper truck).
  • Position will require extensive reaching, lifting and including climbing on and off a forklift regularly throughout the shift.Certain jobs may require operation of manual and power hand tools.

• Knowledge & Experience
• 2 years Supervisory experience.
• 3 - 5 years' experience in shipping and receiving
Compliance with Quality Management Standards& Safety PRocedures.
