California Orthopaedic Institute is a dedicated surgical group comprised of 14 physicians and approximately 100 staff members. We specialize in providing comprehensive Orthopaedic medical care, including surgical services, physical and occupational therapy, as well as radiology and diagnostic MRI.


Summary

We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Receptionist to join our team at California Orthopaedic Institute in our Physical Therapy department . This vital role will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow and providing exceptional customer service to our patients in a busy healthcare environment.


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations efficiently.
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate patient care and communication.
  • Utilize software for patient management and scheduling.
  • Handle patient payments including reconciling payments at the end of each day.


Requirements:

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience in Physical Therapy is preferred.
  • Strong clerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with medical scheduling and office procedures.
  • Experience with electronic record systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
