What are Nutrition Assistants?

Nutrition Assistants are professionals who support dietitians and nutritionists in planning, preparing, and delivering nutritional care to clients or patients. They often work in healthcare settings, schools, or food service facilities, helping with meal planning, food service, and patient education. Their role may include taking diet histories, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring that dietary guidelines are followed, especially for those with specific health needs. In part-time positions, Nutrition Assistants typically work fewer hours per week but still contribute significantly to promoting healthy eating and proper nutrition.
