Senior Nurse Executive (SNE)

We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and compassionate Senior Nurse Executive to serve as the second-in-command of our clinical leadership structure. In this high-impact role, you will partner closely with the Chief Clinical Officer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our large, 299-bed skilled nursing facility.

Our facility proudly provides premier post-acute, subacute, and custodial levels of care. As a key executive, you will directly lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of clinical managers, including the Registered Dietitian, Director of Education, Respiratory Director, Quality Assurance Director, MDS Director, Wound Program Director, and Infection Preventionist.

Key Responsibilities Planning & Clinical Development
  • Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive plans, programs, and activities for the nursing service department.
  • Establish innovative quality assurance programs to guarantee the efficient, flawless coordination of nursing services.
  • Formulate and implement forward-thinking policies aimed at continuously improving resident care and clinical outcomes.
Strategic Committee Leadership
  • Active participation in multiple strategic, facility-wide committees.
  • Evaluate clinical recommendations and transform committee insights into actionable, facility-wide implementation plans.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Manage daily nursing operations, ensuring optimal staffing mixes and master schedule alignment.
  • Actively participate in talent acquisition by interviewing and hiring elite clinical professionals.
  • Conduct confident, constructive performance reviews that drive professional growth and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning through personalized coaching and a robust onboarding orientation program.
Regulatory Compliance & Survey Readiness
  • Maintain absolute compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Provide professional leadership during state and federal facility inspections and surveys.
  • Continuously analyze QI/QM metrics, CASPER reports, and survey data to drive quality improvement initiatives.
Resident Advocacy & Experience
  • Oversee the development of individualized, highly accurate service plans for every incoming resident.
  • Monitor daily clinical care to maximize resident satisfaction and physical outcomes.
  • Serve as a visible, positive voice of encouragement for residents, their families, and your clinical colleagues.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing within the state of practice.
  • Proven leadership experience as a Director of Nursing in a high-bed capacity Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting for a minimum of 7 years.
  • Deep knowledge of post-acute, subacute, and custodial care clinical protocols.
  • Expert-level understanding of state and federal regulatory frameworks, including CASPER data and QI/QM metrics.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary department heads.
