Job description

A globally leading consumer device company based in Austin, TX is looking forย NPI Materials Program Managerย to join their dynamic team.ย This role is responsible for material planning, forecasting, and readiness to enable technology development, new product development, supply qualification and factory readiness. This role is a primary interface between Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supplier/Manufacturing Partner(s).
Job Responsibilities:

  • ย  ย  ย  ย Lead materials budget planning and spend management through partnering with Finance and Engineering
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Lead clear to build (CTB) for pre-production build phasesย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Propose optimized supply planning to ensure on-time build schedule. Drive closure of materials issues
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Work closely with Engineering to manage multiple or alternate source qualifications through build management
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Lead NPI materials process improvement
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Lead daily or weekly supply planning meetings with Manufacturer Partnersย

Key Qualifications:
  • ย  ย  ย  ย BS/BA with 3 - 5 years or comparable professional experienceย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย NPI (New Product Introduction) supply chain management experienceย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Project/Program management skills
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Strong written and verbal communication skillsย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Detailed oriented and excellent organizational skillsย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Demonstrated ability/experience working in constantly changing environmentย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Ability to multi-task and set prioritiesย 
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Proficiency in Excel
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience a plus
  • ย  ย  ย  ย Knowledge in Agile, SAP, Oracle, Numbers, Keynote, and Pages a plus
  • ย  ย  ย  ย PMP, APICS, CSCP or CPIM a plus
