THE ROLE

Adjuvant Behavioral Health is the nation's leading telehealth provider of oncology and chronic illness mental health care-serving cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers with licensed therapy and medication management. As Business Development Manager - New Market Growth, you will prospect, qualify, and close new referral partnerships with oncology practices, health systems, payers, employers, and cancer-focused nonprofits. You thrive on building pipelines, navigating complex sales cycles, and opening doors in untapped markets to ensure more cancer patients have access to critical psychosocial support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, identify, and prospect new oncology referral sources across assigned geographic or vertical markets (oncology practices, health systems, cancer nonprofits, EAPs, payers)
  • Lead full-cycle business development from cold outreach through contract execution and initial referral ramp
  • Develop and deliver tailored value propositions to oncologists, social workers, case managers, HR leaders, and C-suite executives
  • Build and maintain a robust CRM pipeline; meet or exceed quarterly new partner activation targets
  • Educate prospective partners on evidence-based outcomes linking psychosocial support to improved cancer treatment results
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and first-referral experience for new partners
  • Represent Adjuvant at oncology conferences, cancer community events, and health fairs
  • Analyze market data, payer landscapes, and competitive positioning to prioritize highest-value opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in oncology, behavioral health, or telehealth strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of building a pipeline and closing new business
  • Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder, complex decision processes
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent)
  • Comfortable presenting outcomes data and ROI to clinical and exec audiences
  • Bachelor's degree required; clinical licensure, MSW, or MBA a plus
  • Mission-driven, empathetic communicator who understands the cancer journey

COMPENSATION & DETAILS

Base Salary: $85,000 - $110,000

Incentive: Commission on new partner activations + quarterly bonus
