POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will report to the Director of Information Technology. The SAP Business Analyst role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operational systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes for Nippon Paint Automotive Americas (NPAA).
POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, and implements SAP (Systems Applications and Products) software solutions.
  • Defines and documents detailed IT SAP system, business, quality, functional, and/or security requirements and processes, considers reoccurring problems, determines and communicates potential solutions or changes that are needed, explains changes to processes, assists in modifying them, and implements software changes.
  • Designs and carries out system configuration changes, and coordinates all module and system integration testing.
  • Administers, supports, and maintains effective and quality system performance. Develops and translates business requirements into functional specific business processes, technical requirements, and system configuration settings.
  • Maps current processes to the desired state, and identifies gaps, such as program functions, output requirements, input requirements and sources, data conversion strategies, and system techniques and controls.
  • Determines how better processes, support systems, and technology can improve efficiency and competitive advantage. Supports and optimizes existing solutions, and provides operational support for all logistic modules of SAP.
  • Monitors the application performance, and maintains systems by running scans and reconfiguring software as needed. Works with internal business teams, the SAP application service provider, vendors, and outsource partners to efficiently deliver and continuously improve application service and support.
  • Ensures that all applications and networks are functional, secure, and run in accordance with legal guidelines.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems, and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
  • Specific experience based on the functional area:
    • Manufacturing: 3-5 years' experience with SAP Manufacturing Management (MII, PP-PI, MM, MRP) solutions required.
    • Supply Chain: 3-5 years' experience with SAP Warehouse, Supply Chain and Inventory Management (WM, IM) solutions required.
  • SAP ABAP programming skills preferred.
