Available Position: Maintenance Assistant

Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm 

    Primary Duties:

    Maintenance Assistant duties include maintenance support throughout the warehouse and office areas.

    Duties include but are not limited to operating warehouse floor sweeper, MHE battery maintenance and troubleshooting, basic handyman repairs, operating miscellaneous power tools proficiently, and safely assisting preventative maintenance for all equipment, painting, and repairs.  May be required to work overtime and off shift days/times to complete maintenance tasks. 

    Qualifications Required: 

    • Excellent attendance record.
    • Use of drill/drill bits.
    • Handyman skills, mechanically inclined.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment in the direction of the activities of the shift as per established policies and procedures.
    • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
    • Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of and commitment to departmental safety, quality, and operational procedures.
    • Prior Materials Handling Equipment experience (sit down forklift) and basic hand tools knowledge; must obtain and maintain appropriate certifications.
    • Trained in NSG LOTO procedures.
    • Without assistance, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis.
    • Able to work at heights of up to 30 feet.
    • Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the SW Arizona region.
    • Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).
    • Good team/customer/vendor relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Able to work both independently and as a team member.
    • Any other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

    Qualifications Desired:

    • Basic Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Scissor lift

    Hourly Pay: $17.00 - $18.00, based on experience
