A day in the life

At Toyo Tires’ new advanced manufacturing plant in White, Georgia, you step onto the floor and keep sophisticated, PLC-driven, robotic production lines humming. You pivot from diagnosing a servo fault to fine-tuning a VFD, then move seamlessly into mechanical repair and preventive maintenance planning—because you’re equally fluent in electrical troubleshooting and hands-on mechanics.

What you will do
  • Troubleshoot and sustain advanced production machinery, including robotic systems controlled by PLCs.
  • Diagnose and repair AC and DC servo drives, variable frequency drives, and complex hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans aligned with safety and reliability goals.
  • Interpret electrical schematics; install, wire, and commission equipment and panels.
  • Perform machine safety inspections and adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) at all times.
What you bring
  • An associate degree from a two-year college or technical school; and/or 5+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance experience.
  • Proven capability with PLCs—specifically Mitsubishi and Allen‑Bradley platforms.
  • Demonstrated strength in both electrical system troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance (both are essential).
  • Hands-on experience with AC and DC servo drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and VFDs.
