Banking Experience: Banking, financial services, or regulated financial technology experience required
Work Location: Client locations and/or Trilogy NextGen offices as required
Classification: Individual contributor; no direct supervisory responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
Trilogy NextGen is seeking a Business Analyst / QA Analyst with hands-on banking or financial services experience to support requirements, process analysis, testing, and delivery coordination for enterprise banking technology initiatives. This role requires familiarity with regulated banking environments and the ability to work with business, technology, QA, compliance, operations, and delivery teams to translate banking needs into clear requirements and validated software outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements for banking technology initiatives.
- Work with banking stakeholders across operations, product, risk, compliance, technology, and delivery teams.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, test scenarios, and traceability documentation for banking workflows.
- Support manual QA testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for financial services applications.
- Validate data, reports, interfaces, transaction flows, controls, and system behavior against approved banking requirements.
- Identify, document, triage, and track defects through resolution using standard defect management practices.
- Support Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, release readiness, and production validation activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Banking, financial services, or regulated financial technology experience is required.
- Experience as a Business Analyst, QA Analyst, or combined BA/QA role supporting enterprise banking applications.
- Understanding of banking workflows such as payments, deposits, lending, treasury, customer onboarding, risk, compliance, reporting, or financial operations.
- Strong understanding of requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, test planning, and defect lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing, regression testing, integration testing, UAT support, and data validation.
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technology teams to drive clarity, traceability, and delivery alignment.
- Strong analytical, written communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with core banking, digital banking, payments, ACH, wires, cards, lending, deposits, KYC/AML, fraud, risk, or compliance platforms.
- Experience validating SQL queries, APIs, file interfaces, batch jobs, reconciliation outputs, reports, or downstream data flows.
- Familiarity with banking controls, audit expectations, data quality, production release processes, and regulatory impact analysis.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methods and enterprise SDLC processes in a banking or financial services environment.

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Banking applications, financial services platforms, payments systems, lending/deposit systems, and reporting workflows
- Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar Agile delivery tools
- HP ALM/Quality Center, Zephyr, Xray, TestRail, or similar test management tools
- SQL, data validation, reconciliation, Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, and process mapping tools
- REST APIs, Postman, file interfaces, batch processes, ETL/data movement, and enterprise integration concepts
