Basic Function

The IT Systems Analyst is a mid‑level technical role responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing key enterprise business applications and databases across the organization. The role focuses on system administration, integration support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for critical platforms such as custom-developed SQL application, Infor CPQ, Siemens Teamcenter, Therefore Cloud, and related business systems that support operations, sales and engineering functions.

The IT Systems Analyst works independently on support issues, configuration tasks, and enhancement projects, while also collaborating with business stakeholders, IT peers, and software vendors. This position plays a key part in ensuring stable system performance, reliable data flows, and effective user adoption throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Application Administration & Configuration

  • Administer and maintain core business applications and databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with business processes.

  • Configure application settings, roles, permissions, metadata, and workflow elements.

  • Support system upgrades, patching, enhancements, and feature rollouts.

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide user support for custom-developed SQL applications, Infor CPQ, Therefore Cloud, Teamcenter, and other business systems.

  • Lead the investigation and resolution of complex application issues, working across technical teams as needed.

  • Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, FAQs, and job aids.

Integration & Data Support

  • Monitor and support integrations between systems (e.g., CPQ ↔ ERP, CPQ ↔ CRM, PLM ↔ ERP, DMS ↔ PLM).

  • Analyze SQL databases, validate data mappings, and assist with data transfer between databases.

  • Work with developers or integration partners on API-based workflows, ETL processes, SQL import/extract, and automated data exchanges.

User Enablement & Training

  • Provide guidance, training sessions, and onboarding for end users and power users.

  • Partner with business teams to ensure workflows and processes are standardized and well understood.

  • Communicate system changes, outages, and new features to the organization.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in and sometimes lead smaller application enhancement projects.

  • Perform system testing, QA, UAT coordination, and post-release validation.

  • Contribute to long-term application roadmaps and architectural discussions as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or a related field
    – OR – Comparable experience in enterprise systems.

Experience

  • 3–5+ years’ experience working with SQL and stored procedures

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise business applications

  • Practical experience administering or supporting systems such as:

    • Databases (e.g. MS SQL, Oracle, Postgre etc..)

    • PLM Systems (e.g. Teamcenter, Windchill, etc…)

    • CPQ (e.g. Infor, Salesforce, etc..)

    • Document Management or Workflow applications (e.g., Power Automate, Therefore Cloud, Workato, SharePoint, etc…)

  • Experience supporting integrations, data flow troubleshooting, or API-driven systems.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of SQL (queries, views, stored procedures, functions, jobs)

  • Familiar with system administration concepts (roles, permissions, metadata, workflows).

  • Intermediate understanding of system integrations, APIs, ETL flows, or middleware.

  • Familiarity with JSON/XML, REST APIs, CSV import/export, and related data formats.

  • Comfortable working with logs, monitoring tools, and admin consoles.

  • Knowledge of IT change management (ITIL) practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Clear communication skills for working with end users and technical teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

  • Solid documentation skills and a disciplined approach to process.
