Job description

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking an experienced Computer Systems Analyst to evaluate, design, and implement computer systems that meet organizational and customer requirements. This role serves as a bridge between business users and technical teams, translating user needs into system requirements, analyzing solution alternatives, and ensuring successful implementation and functionality of information systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, and document system and business requirements based on user input and operational needs
  • Evaluate existing systems and propose enhancements or alternative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop detailed technical and functional documentation, including system specifications and process flows
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders throughout the system development life cycle
  • Test development and production software to ensure correct functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of computer systems to meet customer and business requirements
  • Assist with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and post-implementation support
  • Ensure systems align with organizational standards, security policies, and best practices
Required Qualifcations
  • Four-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) role for Mid-level consideration; Minimum of seven (7) years of experience for Senior-level consideration
  • Proven experience developing system requirements based on user input
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and evaluating technical and functional alternatives
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical and functional documentation
  • Experience testing development and production software for correct functionality
  • Experience implementing computer systems to meet customer requirements
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
