This is a 26-week contract (Temp-to-Hire) opportunity with competitive pay and benefits.

Pay rate: $48 - $50 per hour on W2
Shift: Day Shift (9:00 AM โ 5:00 PM) with On-Call Rotation

Job Summary
The Network Field Engineer is responsible for supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN connectivity, Cisco device configuration, troubleshooting, and network performance optimization. This role involves field support across multiple locations, implementing network upgrades, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring secure, reliable network operations.

Key Responsibilities
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Install, configure, and maintain Cisco network devices, including switches and routers.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Perform firmware upgrades, switch configuration, port activations, and break/fix activities.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Monitor and maintain enterprise network performance and availability.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Troubleshoot TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), firewalls, and network services.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Collaborate with infrastructure teams and end users to resolve network performance issues.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Engineer and implement Cisco-based network solutions with minimal supervision.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Create and maintain technical documentation using Visio and related tools.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Participate in the on-call rotation and provide field support across multiple client sites.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Follow security best practices and HIPAA guidelines where applicable.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Deliver excellent customer service while supporting healthcare operations.

Qualifications
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Associate's degree required; bachelorโs degree preferred.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 2โ4+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong experience with:
oย ย ย Cisco device installation and configuration
oย ย ย LAN/WAN networking
oย ย ย TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
oย ย ย Switches, routers, firewalls, and port activations
oย ย ย Firmware upgrades and network troubleshooting
oย ย ย Avaya systems
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to create network documentation using Visio.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย CCNA certification is a plus. Candidates without a CCNA must be actively working toward obtaining it.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Reliable transportation is required, as travel between client sites is part of the role.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation.
