CACI is seeking a hard-working mission minded Network Field Engineer to support this mission-critical program. You will work with exceptionally talented professionals in a collaborative team environment to implement and maintain vital telecommunication systems in the WMA and field. The ideal candidate will have a robust background of Networks and Field experience.
CACI is seeking a hard-working mission minded individual who possesses expertise/experience with installing and maintaining a host of today's latest communication systems and complex networks. The selected candidate will be expected to work in remote autonomous environments across the globe and collaborate with a diverse cadre of IT Operational Specialist, LAN/WAN Engineers as well as Facility management and Logistical professionals. Although your primary role will be to install and maintain communications systems/networks you will also be expected to provide measurable input into new products, processes, systems, and/or operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results.
Job Description:
  • Possess expert knowledge in how to deploy, install, and maintain servers, routers, switches, telecommunications systems, UPS systems, and desktop PC hardware in support of customer IT infrastructure and enterprise operations.
  • Responsible for procedural input to the planning, preparation, and execution of large projects. Manage installation and team while at the field site.
  • Must have the ability to complete complex assignments without direction. Must coach those field engineers that are more junior and delegate work during an installation.
  • Able to troubleshoot difficult and complex problems while in the field to complete installation successfully.
  • Ensures that systems are implemented on schedule .
  • Additional Field Engineer duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
  • Evaluate sites for the installation of equipment
  • Install applicable equipment (with racks if needed)
  • Perform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers
  • Install and connect applicable cables
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues

Qualifications:
  • Requires 10+ years' experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs, however expertise, training and actual work experience with specific systems and/or technology is significantly more important than the number of years of experience
  • Experience in IP Related Services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, and SIP (Desired)
  • Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches (Desired)
  • Experience with UPS systems and AC/DC power systems, to include installation/connection (Desired)
  • Working knowledge of CAT 5, CAT 6, and Fiber Optic cable, connectors, and demonstrated capability of fabricating required equipment
  • Experience using Remedy, VISIO, and MS Office
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
  • Top Secret/SCI w/ Poly Required
  • Up to 50% travel flexibility is required.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
