Position Overview
Wesley Behavioral Health Services LLC is seeking a compassionate and motivated Community Networking Specialist to support clients in developing meaningful connections and engaging in community activities. This role is focused on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities identify and access community resources that align with their personal goals and interests, enhancing independence, social engagement, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with clients to identify interests, strengths, and goals
- Assist individuals in discovering and participating in community activities, groups, and events that promote inclusion and personal growth
- Help clients develop social, communication, and independent living skills through community engagement
- Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, classes, volunteer opportunities, and recreational programs
- Encourage natural relationship-building and support networks beyond paid services
- Document activities, outcomes, and progress in the client's plan and agency records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities or similar populations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse community partners
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass required background checks and trainings
