Job description

Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Help Desk to join their team. As a Help Desk , you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting internal staff and public users. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
 

Job Title: Help Desk

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Range: $19 - $22 / hr. on W2

Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
 

What's the Job?

  • Provide first and second-tier technical support for internal staff and public users applications
  • Assist with identity and account management services for staff and users
  • Manage and deploy computers and related hardware for DWD staff
  • Support and troubleshoot digital tools, systems, and platforms, ensuring quick adaptation to new technologies
  • Participate in onsite training and maintain availability during standard working hours

What's Needed?

  • At least 1 year of experience working with digital tools, systems, or platforms, with a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • At least 6 months of experience in a customer service or client-facing role, with success in resolving issues and building positive relationships
  • At least 6 months of experience working in team-based environments, actively contributing to shared goals and engaging in open communication
  • Current Wisconsin residency; no relocation assistance provided
  • Ability to attend onsite training and participate in scheduled meetings during standard hours
