National Sales Manager – HVAC Distribution / Channel Sales Manager / HVAC Sales Manager

United States – National Role

Up to $200,000 depending on experience


A National Sales Manager – HVAC Distribution is required for a senior national sales leadership role focused on wholesale HVAC distributors, dealer networks and strategic channel partners across the United States.


This role is suited to an HVAC sales leader with deep distributor-channel experience, a proven record of growing revenue through wholesale distribution, and the ability to lead regional sales teams, territory managers and representative networks in residential and commercial HVAC markets.


National Sales Manager – HVAC Distribution / Channel Sales Manager / HVAC Sales Manager Benefits:

The National Sales Manager – HVAC Distribution / Channel Sales Manager / HVAC Sales Manager Role:

  • Develop and execute national sales strategies across HVAC wholesale distribution channels.
  • Create annual business plans, sales forecasts and growth initiatives to support revenue and profitability goals.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with national, regional and independent HVAC distributors.
  • Lead strategic distributor reviews covering sales performance, inventory, market opportunities and joint growth initiatives.
  • Support distributor partners with product training, sales programmes, marketing activity and contractor development.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements, rebates, annual contracts and channel programmes.
  • Lead, coach and develop Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, manufacturer representatives and channel sales specialists.
  • Work with operations, customer service, marketing, finance and product teams to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance.


National Sales Manager – HVAC Distribution / Channel Sales Manager / HVAC Sales Manager Requirements:

  • Experience as a National Sales Manager, Channel Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager, HVAC Sales Manager or similar senior sales leadership role.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within the HVAC industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing HVAC distributor channels at regional or national level.
  • Proven experience working with wholesale HVAC distributors, dealer networks, contractors and independent representatives.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales growth, market-share expansion and distributor development targets.
  • Experience managing multi-state or national sales territories.
  • Strong commercial ability, including forecasting, contract negotiation, business planning and sales performance analysis.
  • Ability to travel nationwide up to 50–70%.


Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working for an HVAC manufacturer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • MBA is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of residential, commercial and light industrial HVAC systems.
  • Experience with dealer development programmes and distributor sales initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or HubSpot.
  • Relevant HVAC, sales leadership or channel-management certifications are advantageous.
