Position Summary
As a Lead Engineer, you will drive the technical architecture from conception to deployment . This is a senior technical role responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, leading development across the full stack, and ensuring system uptime. You will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, support and manufacturing teams to align engineering execution with business goals and needs of our merchant community.
ShineOn is a leading print on-demand manufacturer offering a wide-range of personalized gifts; fulfilled across thousands of independent e-commerce stores. We're looking for an expert engineer to act as our technical lead to support growth in B2B fulfillment, improve speed of new product launches, and further integrate automation and AI into our product creation and manufacturing systems.
This role is on-site at our manufacturing facility in Lutz Florida. You will closely collaborate with manufacturing peers to build automation and software solutions for industrial printers and lasers, picking and fulfillment, and shipping systems.
Requirements
What You'll Do In The Role:
  • Architect, build, and maintain full-stack applications utilizing Laravel, MySQL and Vue
  • Provision and scale cloud environments utilizing AWS infrastructure, heavily leveraging Lambdas for serverless execution
  • Lead development of custom Shopify stores and headless e-commerce solutions
  • Design and execute complex third-party API integrations
  • Conduct routine server maintenance, monitor performance bottlenecks and ensure database optimization
  • Work regularly with AWS Console & CLI, Docker, CI/CD Pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions), code repositories (GitHub/GitLab) and linear and outline for spring alignment and technical documentation
  • Enforce code quality through comprehensive code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, acting as a technical leader
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need To Bring To The Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • 5-8+ years of professional experience software engineering experience required
  • Deep expertise in PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript/TypeScript required
  • Proven track record of building and managing infrastructure in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambdas)
  • Extensive experience with Shopify ecosystem and API-driven e-commerce
  • Experience managing AI agents and AI CI/CD solutions
  • Strong understanding of RESTful/GraphQL API integrations and microservices architecture
  • Argue passionately for your views but support decisions once they're made
  • Understand the goals of the business are more important than your ego
  • Not be afraid of failure, and know when to ask for help
  • Highly collaborative, with a positive, "solutions-oriented" attitude where you don't just raise the issue, you also bring potential solutions to fix it
