JOB PURPOSE:
The position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for new clients that fall within our Small/Medium Business (SMB) focus or similar complexity. Focusing on efficiency, best practices, and process compliance is essential in the role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required in this customer-facing position. An ability to communicate effectively with clients and other departments to get the job done right is necessary. This role requires solid organization, execution and analytical abilities. Being responsible for their own workflow assignments, the Implementation Manager - SMB must be able to take the initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines. To succeed in this position you must be able to deliver precision execution on projects and timelines, work across department to set up the correct processes, work efficiently with all department, and ensure the clientโ€™s satisfaction with the solution implemented.
CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage multiple projects in all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Utilizing a combination of Logistic knowledge and project management skills to ensure a quality implementation experience for the client
  • Provide leadership for cross-functional project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. Build and enhance positive working relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices. Prescribe standardized project processes to drive implementation efficiencies and speed to revenue on individual projects
  • Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project vehicles and coordination of resources
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using the appropriate verification techniques
  • Assess operational opportunities to increase service quality and/or efficiency
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities to team manager and stakeholders (Internal and External)
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
SUPPORTING DUTIES TO THE CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Strong reasoning skills and ability to offer both written and verbal advice
  • Ability to listen to a situation and provide potential solutions.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • Ability to collect and review data in order to create reports and summaries.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver results in ambiguous environments
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree equivalent experience in business or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Logistics/Transportation
  • Experience working across a complex organizational matrix. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with building and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral, with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
