Program Manager

Position Description

  1. Coordinate and oversee all NAMI Signature Programs, support groups, and initiatives.

  2. Coordinate program logistics, including locations, speakers, trainers, and materials.

  3. Oversee volunteer recruitment, placement, orientation, and supervision.

  4. Assist in marketing and advertising needs.

  5. Oversee the recruitment and training of volunteer facilitators and teachers for NAMI programs.

  6. Organizes logistics and execution of NAMI training, support programs, and classes.

  7. Responsible for day-to-day operations of NAMI program management, support groups, program leaders, and facilitators.

  8. Initiates and participates in outreach and advocacy efforts to support NAMI's mission and ensure quality programs and services.

  9. Manages and reports program metrics and data management.

  10. Acts as program liaison with NAMI National, NAMI Florida, and the Broward County affiliate.

Position Information

· Position Title: Program Manager

· Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

· Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

· Location: NAMI Broward County (Plantation, FL)

Education and Support Programs Management

  • Plan, coordinate, promote, and expand existing and new NAMI programs in English, Spanish, and Creole.

  • Initiate additional community and NAMI Signature Programs.

  • Ensure NAMI National standards, program requirements, quality expectations, and goals are met.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in NAMI programs and mental health.

  • Verify the accuracy of website and social media information regarding education and support programs throughout the year.

  • Create program flyers and publicize programs through various channels, including print and social media.

  • Maintain program calendars, documents, and volunteer task assignments.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience with computer systems and data processing.

  • Ability to present professionally in person, by phone, and in writing.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, follow directions, and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Willingness to work in a supportive role.

  • Creativity and event planning experience preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
