Job description

Citi's US in-house creative agency is looking for an experienced Video Design Lead to oversee the art direction for video advertising, managing the creative execution of animated and live-action content across digital and out-of-home marketing campaigns.
This position requires an innovative approach to visual storytelling and an expertise in design fundamentals, as well as a proven record of success managing a dynamic team of motion artists, videographers, and editors in an agency environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of designers through art direction for a wide range of multimedia projects (storyboards, organic and paid social posts, digital out-of-home ads, sizzle reels, product demos, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to analyze performance data and brainstorm creative strategies that improve the results and effectiveness of our deliverables
  • Facilitate collaborative concepting sessions that inspire fresh, original ideas, ensuring the team's creative work is consistently engaging and impactful
  • Oversee the coordination of live-action production including location, equipment, talent, budget, and on-set personnel to guarantee both a seamless client experience and an exceptional final product
  • Act as a subject matter expert in social platforms, translating the latest trends, specs, and best practices into actionable creative strategies.
  • Participate in project kickoffs, internal reviews, and client presentations, guiding the team to deliver exceptional assets and inspiring client confidence and excitement in our partnership
  • Serve as a key advocate for the creative team by presenting to senior leadership, clearly articulating the strategic impact of our work on major marketing initiatives and solidifying our role as an indispensable creative partner
  • Ensure that comprehensive guidelines have been implemented into deliverables to ensure 100% ADA compliance (effective audio descriptions, SRT files, video transcripts, etc.)
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of leadership experience, including a design background with a focus on motion graphics and live-action production
  • Agency experience (in-house agency experience is a plus)
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud: Especially After Effects, Premiere Pro and Audition
  • Experience with Cinema 4D and 3D motion design
  • A proven history of design fundamentals (including typography, color theory, brand adherence, and critical thinking with regards to creative application)
  • Experience with ADA compliance as it pertains to marketing collateral
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly and effectively discuss projects
  • Successful experience partnering with internal clients and senior leaders
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple key priorities
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with local and remote team members
  • A BA or higher in marketing or a related field
  • Mac literacy

Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
