Coordinates the planning, production, and execution of marketing and communications initiatives across the agency.

Job Purpose:

The Marketing Project Manager coordinates the planning, production, and execution of marketing and communications initiatives across Alexander Jewish Family Service (AJFS). This role serves as the primary project manager for marketing activities, ensuring campaigns, donor communications, events, and brand materials are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with organizational goals. Working closely with internal departments, external vendors, and creative partners, the Marketing Project Manager maintains marketing systems, manages production workflows, and supports brand messaging across print, digital, and social media channels.

Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing Project Management
  • Manages the production and delivery of marketing and communications materials, including print, digital, email, social media, advertising, signage, and event collateral.
  • Coordinates marketing projects with internal stakeholders, designers, photographers, videographers, printers, and other external vendors.
  • Maintains project timelines, schedules, and workflows to ensure deadlines are met using project management software.
  • Manages marketing budgets, vendor contracts, scopes of work, and production schedules.
  • Assists with onsite photography and video shoots as needed.
Content and Communications
  • Coordinates the collection of content, stories, photos, and service updates from staff and community partners.
  • Maintains marketing asset libraries and templates
  • Assists with staff participation in media interviews, photography sessions, video productions, testimonials, and other content development initiatives.
  • Proofreads and reviews marketing and communication materials for accuracy, clarity, brand consistency, and organizational voice.
  • Ensures consistent messaging and brand standards across all communications channels.
  • Conducts regular website audits to identify outdated content, broken links, and opportunities to improve user experience and accessibility.
  • Provides basic graphic design support and content creation as needed.
Digital Marketing
  • Manages the social media content calendar and collaborates with staff to create and publish content across platforms.
  • Oversees the planning, creation, testing, scheduling, and deployment of email newsletters, fundraising appeals, event promotions, and organizational announcements.
  • Coordinates the scheduling and publication of digital and print content, including articles, advertisements, email campaigns, and social media posts.
  • Monitors audience engagement and supports efforts to increase visibility and community engagement across digital platforms.
Other Responsibilities
  • Provides backup support for website maintenance and content updates.
  • Onsite event support for designated institutional events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of four years in the non-profit or marketing sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient knowledge of social media trends, and use of social media scheduling; understanding of media relations
  • High level of organization skills
  • Creative, consumer service oriented, and excellent communication skills verbally, in writing, and graphically
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced positive team environment while managing multiple projects; displays flexibility through multiple revisions and changing priorities, while maintaining project timelines and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and excellent time management skills

Additional Preferred skills:

  • Photography, CRM platform (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred), Constant Contact, Canva, and Monday.com
Working conditions
  • This is an on-site full-time position. A small percentage of remote work may be permitted after the first year of employment
  • Some evening or weekend hours required for event support
  • This position requires positive interaction with the development/marketing team and refined customer service skills in servicing the various departments of the agency.
Physical requirements

Must be able to meet routine office physical demands, including lifting up to 15-pound objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers.
