GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Instructional Design and Training Specialist will lead Club Car in creating and administering multimedia instructional content. In addition, the Instructional Design and Training Administration Specialist will guide a cross-functional team, offer recommendations, present to a broad spectrum of audience types, and use their knowledge to ensure each assigned project accomplishes the desired goals efficiently and effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Perform a comprehensive needs/task analysis to determine goals and identify problems and constraints.
  • Establish instructional objectives, and evaluations, based on the needs/task analysis.
  • Create a comprehensive project schedule and associated budget based on the instructional objectives.
  • Present the instructional objectives, evaluations, project schedule, and budget to senior leadership and sponsors.
  • Select the appropriate design process, format, communication medium, and instructional strategy based on the instructional objectives.
  • Develop instructional material for instructor lead and self-study courses in multiple multimedia environments (video, computer interactive, audio, and paper).
  • Set up video shoots with professional lighting and sound.
  • Facilitate instructional design workshops with inter-department employees.
  • Conduct post-production activities using industry-standard software.
  • Develop and conduct formative evaluations of the Learning Management System (LMS), Instructional design courses, and learners.
  • Demonstrate the ability to administer a Learning Management System (LMS) with multiple training programs in various life-cycle stages.
  • Create and maintain an instructional design brand, writing, and design style guide.
  • Create and publish a monthly newsletter with an associated informational and marketing strategy.
  • Additional roles and responsibilities as required to result in exceptional, timely, accurate, and user-friendly training content that fully supports the needs of our internal/external customers.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required.

Experience:

5+ years’ experience in instructional design and training required.

Must have excellent writing skills and grammatical ability. Experience working with the industry writing style, technical grammar, sentence form, and structure is strongly preferred.

Experience in user experience (UX) design and testing, Human Performance Improvement (HPI), adult learning (Andragogy), instructional design models, behavior sciences, and psychology.

  • Ability to navigate a complex organization to procure the appropriate direction, expertise, insights, approvals, etc.

  • Must be a self-starter, able to work semi-independently, and efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining thoroughness, attention to detail, and product quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and collaborate with company employees to produce accurate content.
