Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to administer the receipt, management, and liquidation of Complex (illiquid) Asset contributions which consist of Real Estate, private stock, loan notes, life insurance and other complex gifts. This position collaborates with high-net-worth families and givers, as well as advisors, and Relationship Managers to support a successful giving journey. The position will coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties to ensure proper management and sale of assets and optimize the value from each gifted Asset. The position will also be responsible for the management of all held Assets from intake to sale, including coordinating payment of Asset-related expenses and posting of payments, ensuring Asset compliance with federal and state regulations and foundation policies, assisting in marketing efforts, and sale by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. This role provides continual guidance and engagement with all stakeholders, throughout the asset management process, to ensure a positive giver experience.
This position is hybrid based out of the office in Alpharetta, GA.

Duties & Responsibilities
Management of New Assets
  • Works with givers, advisors and Relationship Managers efficiently and professionally to ensure a positive giver experience
  • Sets up the new Complex Asset Contribution in current system used to track the management of the Asset
  • Reports all new Complex Asset Contributions with the fund flow related terms for ministry grant, administrative costs and taxes to Accounting
  • Prepares receipt packages and next steps related to Asset management for givers
  • Communicates to Relationship Manager the completion of the gift

Management of Current Assets
  • Secures proper Liability / Hazard Insurance coverage on Real Estate Assets
  • Maintains electronic files for all managed Assets
  • Maintains tracking of management activities related to Assets
  • Manages all expenses associated with each Asset
  • Ensures LLC Wrapper Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Coordinates all aspects of Marketing and Asset Sale
  • Reviews, analyzes, and reports Asset sale terms
  • Manages all payments associated with each Asset, including the reconciliation of complex closing statements and funds flows on liquidations of Assets
  • Works with Complex Asset Accounting and Tax Compliance teams on asset income and liabilities
  • Partners with Due Diligence Attorneys and Complex Gift Solutions paralegals to resolve management issues and process Asset Sales
  • Regularly and clearly communicates, and works with Givers, Advisors and Relationship Managers efficiently and professionally to ensure a positive giver experience throughout the Asset's life cycle

Education

Experience
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in gift services, portfolio management, real estate, financial services, or other business-related fields
  • Experience in sales, relationship management, or customer service
  • Experience preferred in serving high net worth individuals, families, and advisors
  • Real estate experience is a plus
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions a plus
  • Working cross departmentally to influence without direct authority

Knowledge Base
  • Proven aptitude for "real-time" problem diagnosis and solving
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications
  • Some working knowledge of charitable, non-profit, foundation, and/or donor related subject matters preferred
  • Knowledge of CRM tool like Salesforce preferred
  • Able to perform duties independently
