Job description

DESCRIPTION
The District Manager is a leader responsible for overseeing the operations, people, profitability, and performance of multiple Wingstop restaurants within a designated district. The District Manager plays a key role in driving the success of the restaurants by focusing on P&L management, team development, ops excellence, guest satisfaction, and brand consistency.
The DM also invests time in coaching and mentoring restaurant teams, ensuring that each location delivers outstanding guest experiences, maintains smooth operations, and upholds the high standards of Wingstop and Legacy Wings. This role requires strategic oversight to achieve district-level operational and profitability goals.
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of prior District Manager experience in a fast-paced service environment, preferably QSR
  • Understand and demonstrate basic operations procedures and cost management capabilities
  • Experience in recruiting, retaining and developing multiple employees
  • Ability to lead and promote team member and food safety protocols
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot technology (POS, ATS, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards preferred

Qualifications
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in quick service restaurant management, with previous experience in multi-unit management
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, cost control, and drivers of profitability
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively across multiple teams and stores
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills to inspire, develop, and hold teams accountable
  • Deep understanding of guest service principles and commitment to delivering high-quality customer experiences
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Willingness to travel within assigned district as needed

Full Responsibilities include:
Driving Profitability Across the District
  • Oversees P&L for all restaurants, managing performance and profitability across locations
  • Analyzes and optimizes district-wide sales, labor, and operational expenses to meet targets
  • Implements strategies to boost sales through guest service, people development, and operational efficiency.
  • Identifies growth opportunities, cost savings, and performance improvements across the district.

Creating Memorable Experiences for Guests
  • Ensures each restaurant delivers exceptional guest service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, speed, and quality.
  • Resolves escalated guest complaints and collaborates with teams to address feedback promptly
  • Leads district-wide marketing and community initiatives to promote Wingstop and drive traffic, while monitoring and improving service standards across locations.

Developing Leaders and Teams
  • Oversees recruitment, hiring, and training to build high-performing teams at each location.
  • Provides leadership support to General Managers and Assistant Managers, coaching on leadership development, team motivation, and performance.
  • Implements employee recognition programs maintain high employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Conducts regular performance reviews, offering feedback and development opportunities to management teams, while nurturing future leaders and creating a pipeline of future leaders

Ensuring Operational Excellence Across the District
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all health, safety, cleanliness, and security standards across each restaurant
  • Enforces Wingstop's operational procedures and brand standards, ensuring consistent execution across all locations
  • Ensure timely repairs and maintenance of restaurant equipment, troubleshooting high-level operational issues as needed
  • Supports restaurants in implementing Wingstop's promotional campaigns, limited-time offers (LTOs), and product launches

Strategic Planning and Reporting
  • Leads district meetings, including regular performance reviews, best practice sharing, and strategy sessions with restaurant leadership teams
  • Prepares and presents district-level performance reports, including financial results, labor management, guest satisfaction metrics, and employee development progress
  • Participates in strategic planning with senior leadership to set district-specific goals
  • Monitors competition and industry trends within the district
