The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a Motorcycle Designer.
Job Summary
You will contribute bold, rider-focused designs that enhance performance, style, and customization while staying true to the brand's heritage, look, sound, and feel across both motorcycles and P&A.
You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and manufacturing teams to bring fresh ideas from concept to production. This is a hands-on creative role where you'll shape the future of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Parts & Accessories.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of new parts and accessories, including aesthetic components, functional upgrades, collections, and complete product lines.
  • Develop creative concepts, sketches, 3D models, and detailed renderings for a wide range of motorcycle platforms.
  • Translate rider insights, market trends, and brand direction into compelling, manufacturable designs.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, durability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations, and iterative refinement processes.
  • Support the creation of cohesive collections and themed accessory packages.
  • Present design proposals to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Stay current with motorcycle trends, materials, manufacturing processes, and competitor offerings.

Education Requirments
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) preferred.
  • 3-7+ years of professional design experience, preferably in the powersports, automotive, motorcycle, or consumer product industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design from concept to production, with emphasis on aesthetic and functional accessories.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, or similar 3D modeling and rendering tools.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and physical model making is a plus.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
