Job Summary
The Lead Product Manager will lead the end-to-end vision and development of category-defining products-from early concept ideation through development and market launch-while balancing customer needs, market dynamics, portfolio complexity, and financial performance to shape a winning product strategy. This role requires a distinct blend of strategic leadership, deep consumer insight, and technical product knowledge. The ideal candidate will influence executive decision-making, challenge the status quo, and rally cross-functional teams around a bold, cohesive product roadmap that drives differentiation and long-term growth.
Job Responsibilities
  • Define and execute long-range product portfolio strategies aligned to business objectives, revenue targets, and customer acquisition goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of leaders from commercial, engineering, design and marketing to deliver new products to market.
  • Develop product vision, positioning, feature strategy, and roadmap planning for complex global product portfolios.
  • Conduct extensive market analysis, competitive benchmarking, consumer research, and trend forecasting to identify new business opportunities and unmet customer needs.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations for product features, pricing, volume planning, and profitability optimization.
  • Monitor product performance throughout the lifecycle and implement corrective actions to improve commercial results and customer satisfaction.
  • Build business cases and executive-level presentations supporting investment decisions, product approvals, and portfolio prioritization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure products achieve target functionality, quality, performance, and customer experience objectives.
  • Represent the voice of the customer throughout the product development process and ensure alignment between customer expectations and business goals.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, pricing conditions, and profitability metrics to guide future product and portfolio decisions.
  • Partner with product marketing teams to develop strategic messaging and effectively communicate product positioning and innovation stories.
  • Coordinate global and regional stakeholder alignment to ensure consistent execution of portfolio strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure product portfolio decisions balance consumer demand, brand positioning, operational feasibility, and long-term business sustainability.

This position typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. In addition, the qualified candidate will have demonstrated the following:

  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Experience working with premium consumer brands, powersports, automotive, or adjacent industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and consumer insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Motorcycle riding experience preferred.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
