Position Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical components within semi-automated and fully automated parking systems.

This role ensures reliable system performance, timely response to service calls, and adherence to safety and quality standards across assigned sites. You will work independently and engage directly with residents and property managers to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting ability, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a proactive, customer-first mindset.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop a working understanding of all semi- and fully-automated parking systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components

  • Conduct system testing to verify proper performance and safety

  • Diagnose technical issues and implement effective repair solutions

  • Order and track parts needed for repairs

  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls

  • Respond promptly to on-call service requests from users and property management

  • Educate clients on proper system use and maintenance best practices

  • Clearly explain equipment issues and repair solutions to customers

  • Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and building representatives

  • Collaborate with subcontractors and internal team members

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
  • 2 years of experience servicing mechanical and/or electrical equipment

  • Automotive, motorcycle, aviation mechanic, or similar technical background is highly valued

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience using mechanical hand tools and electrical testing tools (multimeter, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible availability, including participation in an on-call rotation

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and work in confined spaces

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
